I just love the delicateness off poppy petals. Perhaps that's why I'm drawn back to painting them on a regular basis. "Purple Flutter" for me, was an effort to capture the delicateness, while dancing the line of realism and abstract. It turned out more on the realistic side. Purples, golds and greens are the dominant colours in this piece with some light blue mark making.
This piece is painted on a 16 inch round birch panel, which is 1 inch deep. The sides are painted white. Comes with a hanging wire installed.
