About Me
Growing up on a mixed purebred cattle and grain farm on the Canadian Prairies shaped me to my core! Everything that comes out of my paintbrush can somehow be linked back to a prairie landscape, a beloved farm animal and flowers.
I hope that my artwork connects you to these things that feel like home to me. Perhaps it's the rural area you currently live in, or maybe it's a nostalgic memory of visiting your grandparent's farm - collecting eggs, feeding the cows or cutting fresh lilacs for the table. I hope my pieces bring you fond, warm thoughts of a cherished memory or maybe the life you dream of.
I mostly paint in acrylics but am also experimenting with oil paints. I paint in a broad style at the moment - sometimes my paintings are very realistic and sometimes they are impressionistic or semi-abstracted. I find that's the fun of art - to keep experimenting and having fun. I don't want to be fenced-in to one style.
The main home for my art is here on my website and on social media. I also have pieces at Rural Root Collective Artisan Loft on Main Street in Killam, Alberta, pieces hanging at Ball Family Dental in Killam, Alberta, and wood-framed prints at Prairie Collective in Russell, Manitoba.
Most of the time though, I am busy being a mom and a wife! We are blessed to be able to live in the country which is the best place ever to raise our family.
Thank you for visiting my website and for your support.
